And no offence to any older folk that maybe reading this. But how do I put this… The oldies aren’t getting any younger. If stations don’t attract the youth the radio stations they will die
with older folk. Youth programs invite youth listeners which in turn inspires youth
volunteering and so the cycle continues. The guidelines suggest to loosen the leash on youth a bit to allow
them to express themselves. You are doing your station and your community a dis-service if you
don’t get the youth involved in your station.
